Between its UK and US manufacturing facilities RTS will start 2009 with an order book for nearly 500 engine sets of gas turbine and process compressor cleaning systems.
About 70% of RTS compressor cleaning system sales are to OEM’s some of whom exclusively incorporate its cleaning systems into their engine packages. System upgrade sales are also on the increase, many to long-standing existing customers that have used RTS cleaning systems for the past 15 to 25 years. Over that period RTS has constantly improved and expanded its range of cleaning systems to achieve significantly improved cleaning results so many of its customers are now upgrading or planning to upgrade their systems to the latest nozzle and skid technology. RTS will therefore start the New Year with some 500 orders on its 2009 production schedule.

After being chosen as the successful bidder on technical merit and price against an open tender to supply the Oil and Natural Gas Corp of India (ONGC) with compressor cleaning systems for its offshore gas turbines RTS has delivered on time and on-price all the equipment for the first platform.
The ONGC contract was awarded on the basis of a turnkey project involving the supply, installation and commissioning of atomising injection nozzle systems for 7 x Rolls Royce RB211gas turbines and a sophisticated, fully automated wash skid to serve all five GT’s. The skid is also complete with its own integral reverse osmosis system to generate the pure water needed for the compressor cleaning process. The entire system was designed and certified for hazardous area use.
The turnkey project was originally planned for completion this year but due to delays resulting from the monsoon season and later production priorities final commissioning of the automated cleaning systems will now take place in early 2009. This oil and gas production platform is the first of 10 to be installed and is located offshore Mumbai.
